Shawn O'Meara
In the Fall of 1991, at the age of 20, Shawn began his career as an electricians apprentice. The 4 year program, administered by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Nevada, includes full time electrical work as well as night classes. This structure provides the well rounded skills and knowledge needed to become a highly qualified journeyman electrician. One of only five of the original thirty to graduate from the apprenticeship program, Shawn brings Aspen electric customers a superior skill set. You should not settle for less. His experience spans all aspects of electrical construction and service, including heavy industrial, commercial, and residential. In 2005, Shawn formed Aspen Electric LLC. Starting small with a "little truck and one drill" Aspen Electric LLC has grown into an established, well respected and trusted local contractor. The eighteen years Shawn has spent becoming one of the premier electricians in Northern Nevada ensures premium service for Aspen Electric customers. Shawn and his wife are native Nevadans and the parents of one lovely girl. Outside of work he and his family are usually pedaling their mountain bikes around Peavine Mountain or pitching a tent high up in the Sierras.

Estimator/System Design
Jude Mayne
Jude brings a wide variety of technical and practical experience to Aspen Electric. He also brings with him an intimate knowledge of the Truckee Meadows community. He holds a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies from University of Nevada Reno. While in school he realized the importance of renewable energy to our community, to our country, and to our planet. He recently installed, with the help of the Aspen crew, a 5.7 killowatt system on his residence. There is no question that Jude sells a product that he truly believes in. He is a member of the American Solar Energy Society, the local Sunrise Sustainable Solutions organization, and sits on the Northwest Reno Neighborhood Advisory Board. He is excited and honored to be part of a team that places service, workmanship, and personal integrity in such high regard; and looks forward to helping the customers of Aspen Electric fulfill their dreams of sustainable living. Jude has been a proud Reno resident since 1992, when he was recruited to be the starting tight-end for the Wolf Pack. He is a husband and father of two beautiful children. He enjoys cycling, backpacking, traveling, music, and good food.

Mark Leon
Mark complements the Aspen Electric solar team with a wealth of hands on experience with photovoltaic and thermal systems. He gained his knowledge working his way up from installer to project manager where he excelled at designing and installing renewable energy systems in Northern Nevada. Along with his four years of alternative energy systems experience he holds a State of Nevada OSHA photovoltaic installers license. Mark moved to the Reno /Tahoe area in 1990 after he earned a BA in Liberal Arts from Northern Arizona University. Most people don’t know that Mark is a skilled silversmith. The detail and precision he developed while training in this art under Frank Patania enriches his abilities as a system designer and installer. In addition to accelerating the renewable energy revolution he enjoys playing around in the mountains either snowboarding, mountain biking, kayaking, or camping.
